Valencia Basket open a very tough week visiting the Virtus Segafredo Bologna’s court
Valencia Basket opens a week of very hard trips visiting the Virtus Segafredo Bologna’s court (Wednesday 10, 20:30, Paladozza, DAZN / Movistar + dial 60) in a 7DAYS EuroCup round 4 game in what will mean the first return of the taronja team to the court of the black-and-white team 21 years after their first and only visit, the 1999-2000 Saporta Cup quarter-final series.
After breaking their negative dynamics in Liga Endesa with their victory against Joventut Badalona, Joan Peñarroya's men will try to do the same in European competition on one of the most complicated courts to do so. And incidentally, breaking a bad streak in Italy where the Taronja team has lost in its last two visits. To do this, he must optimize his defensive performance to stop the offense of the team that scores the most and best of two-points shots in the competition and that has the second best attack with an average of 90 points.
To try to endorse their first loss at home to Virtus, the taronja team maintains the same three sidelined players from the last games: Víctor Claver (midtarsal sprain in the left foot), Mike Tobey (osteitis in the pubis) and Neno Dimitrijevic (tear in the hamstring muscles of the right leg). Valencia Basket is currently sixth classified in group B of the 7DAYS EuroCup with a balance of 1-2
